Hotel Review: CodeRooms, Florence
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Florence, I’ve got you covered 💅
Recently I stayed at CodeRooms Florence, and I couldn’t recommend it more. It was spotlessly clean, quirky in all the right ways and a super comfy place to rest while exploring the city.
Price: 164.21 euros for 1 nights [October 2023]
The Location:
One of the things that I loved most about staying here was that it’s just a short walk away from all of the main attractions, including Santa Croce (a 5-minute walk) and Piazza della Signoria (450 meters away). As Florence is such a good place to walk around this was perfect. Not only this, but the Santa Maria Novella Train Station is just a 15-minute walk making getting here from Pisa airport quick and easy.
Customer Service:
The customer service was also brilliant, nothing was ever too much and they even helped with restaurant reservations and how to store the cases at the beginning and end of our stay. Everything was done digitally and there wasn't a reception at the entrance (you had to check in online the week before your stay) but that didn't impact our stay at all. They were always helpful whenever we messaged and I loved being able to talk to a person over direct message before I’d even arrived in Florence!
The Rooms:
Coderooms offers themed rooms with wood-beamed ceilings and quirky decor. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries for you to use. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was pretty decent, I loved the design of it! I booked a room which had a balcony, it didn't have much of a view (it looked on to an inner courtyard) but it was nice to have, especially as the air felt a bit stuffy with all the rain! There was also free WiFi throughout the property which also comes in handy when you don't want to use up all of your data!
The price:
As I mentioned at the start of this post, I paid £142.97 (or €164.21) for two people for one night and stayed on a Friday. From what I've seen the price of your stay depends on when you book (if it's a weekday vs a Friday/ weekend it can be as little as £88). I think this is very reasonable when you take into account the location and the quality of the hotel.
Two things to make note of:
1) The CodeRooms complex is located on the second floor. This property has lots and lots of stairs, and the lift is only usable when you have your room, so I would recommend not bringing so much if you can. 😂
2) It’s a completely digitalised check-in system with digital codes and operated through DMS so make sure you have data as the codes change daily for security purposes!
I only stayed here for one night, but I would come back if I made it back to Florence one day!
How to book:
Like most of my stays, I booked through booking.com. You can find the link to this property here.
